Have questions?

We've got answers.

  • Do you only provide pet care for cats?
Yes, Lulu & Co. is now specializing in cat care and not accepting other clients at this time.
  • Are you licensed, insured and bonded?
Yes. Although there is no professional license for providing pet sitting services in the state of Florida, Lulu & Co. Pet Sitting Services, LLC is registered to do business in Collier County. We are fully insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
  • Why should I hire a professional pet sitter?
A professional pet sitter has a registered business, liability insurance, training, and experience with pets. He/she provides a written service contract and has policies in place to ensure reliable services. A professional can provide pet owners with peace of mind and relieve them of the burden of asking neighbors and family to help out.
  • What are the advantages of pet sitting vs. boarding?
Some pets are fine with boarding or kenneling. Others may not do well in an unfamiliar environment with other animals. Most cats are more comfortable in their own home with minimal disruptions to their daily routines. They would benefit from the care and one-on-one attention of a pet sitter. Pet owners can also benefit from the added security of having someone check on their pet and home while they are away.
  • Do you provide boarding services?
No, we do not board pets in our home. We come to your home for all pet sitting services.
  • Do you provide overnight pet sitting?
No, we do not pet sit overnight. Pet sitting services are available 7am - 7pm only.
  • Who will come to my home to care for my pets? Do you hire other pet sitters?
We do not have employees. Lulu & Co. is owned and operated by Katherine Sullivan with occasional help from husband and co-owner, John. John will often accompany Katherine for Meet & Greets so that he can become familiar with your pets and their routines as well.
  • Will you come check on my cat every other day?
No, it is our policy to visit cats at least once a day.
  • What if my cat becomes sick or injured while I am away?
If immediate veterinary care is needed, we will take the cat to your regular vet if possible or the closest emergency vet. We will contact you to assess the situation. It is very important that we have the pet's vet records and your contact information while traveling.
  • How far in advance do I need to book services?
Reservations are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. New clients should book at least one week in advance to allow time to schedule a Meet & Greet. Current clients should book as soon as possible to ensure availability. SUMMER & HOLIDAYS BOOK UP QUICKLY! Same day service may be available for current clients but cannot be guaranteed. We never overbook - quality pet care is always our top priority.
  • What are your hours?
Cat sitting services are available 7am to 7pm everyday. Office hours are 9am to 7pm Monday through Saturday.
  • Are you available 365 days a year?
Almost! But life is short and we need vacations too. We generally take one or two vacations each year plus a few weekend trips. Clients are given advanced notice of any dates we are unavailable as well as a list of recommended "backup" pet sitters.
  • Will you provide updates about my pet while I'm away?
Absolutely! We will provide visit updates by text or email through our pet sitting software. Just let us know how often you would like to receive updates. If you prefer not to be contacted while on vacation, no problem! We will only call if absolutely necessary.
